上次跟大家介绍了菲币一块钱，这次就继续以钱币角度走进菲律宾吧。这次要介绍的是菲币面值最小的三个硬币，分别是一分钱、五分钱、和二十五分钱。

在这三个硬币正面刻着的都是菲律宾国旗左边的等边三角形内容——三颗星和一个太阳。三颗星分别代表着菲律宾的三个岛组：吕宋、米沙鄢和棉兰老。中间的太阳象征着自由的光芒普照整个菲律宾。既然都提到了国旗，在这里顺便给大家科普一下菲律宾国旗上其他东西的寓意。等边三角形代表菲律宾人民对和平与安宁的盼望。而国旗右边的蓝色代表菲律宾人民忠诚、爱国的精神，红色代表菲律宾人民勇往直前的民族气概。但是一定要注意国旗立着的时候蓝色一定要是在上面的。因为如果反面把红色挂到上面那就代表“菲律宾进入战争状态”。

话说回来，一分钱硬币的背面刻着的是菲律宾铁木。这是米沙鄢群岛、巴拉望、和棉兰老东北部的特有桃金娘科植物。其为极其耐用、厚重的木材，但目前也正面临着栖息地数量骤减的威胁。

五分钱的背面刻着的则是牛角瓜。它还有一个名震江湖的名字——断肠草。这是一种原产于热带国家的植物。

二十五分钱的背面则刻着卡蒙（菲律宾第伦桃）。其为菲律宾特有植物，生长于菲律宾的中低海拔森林里，并无法在寒冷的高地气候中生存。卡蒙是菲律宾园林爱好者最喜欢的树木，并用于城市绿化。
